4-Day Desert Tour from Marrakech to Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Valley

Your journey begins with pickup from your riad or hotel in Marrakech. We’ll travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering spectacular views and photo stops along the way.

Our first major stop is the famous Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its historical significance and appearance in numerous films. After exploring the kasbah, we continue through Ouarzazate and on to the Valley of Roses via El Kelaa des M’Gouna.

By evening, we reach Boumalne Dades, located in the heart of the Dades Valley, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a charming guesthouse or hotel.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Tinjdad – Merzouga

After breakfast, we continue toward the Sahara Desert. Our first highlight of the day is the Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon with towering limestone cliffs reaching up to 600 meters and a narrow passage only 10 meters wide. This is a great spot for a short walk and photos.

Next, we travel through Tinjdad and Erfoud, approaching the dramatic Erg Chebbi dunes of Merzouga. In the late afternoon, you’ll ride camels into the desert, witnessing a stunning sunset along the way.

Tonight, you’ll stay in a traditional Berber camp, enjoying dinner and live drum music around a campfire beneath the stars.

Day 3:Merzouga – Ouarzazate

Wake up early to climb the sand dunes and enjoy a magical Sahara sunrise—a perfect photo opportunity. After breakfast, we ride camels back to the village of Merzouga, where we meet our driver and begin the return journey.

We travel through Alnif, Tazzarine, and the scenic Draa Valley, passing numerous Berber villages and oases along the way. By evening, we arrive in Ouarzazate, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable guesthouse or hotel.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast, we depart for Marrakech, once again crossing the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll make stops for panoramic views and refreshments along the way. By afternoon or early evening, you’ll be dropped off at your riad or hotel in Marrakech—bringing your desert adventure to a memorable close.
