Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen
Your Moroccan adventure begins with a scenic drive through the Rif Mountains, passing the historic city of Tetouan. We’ll stop to admire the panoramic landscapes before arriving in Chefchaouen, known for its blue-painted medina and relaxed vibe. Explore artisanal shops, rooftop cafés, and enjoy a peaceful evening at your riad with mountain views and a cool breeze.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, we head south via Ouazzane to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Meknes, where we explore the monumental Bab El Mansour, the medina walls, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. We then travel to Fes, one of Morocco’s most fascinating imperial cities, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional riad.
Day 3: Exploring Fes – Guided City Tour
Discover the cultural heart of Morocco on a full-day guided tour of Fes el-Bali, the oldest medina in the country. Visit landmarks such as the Royal Palace gates, the Jewish Mellah, Al-Qarawiyyin University, Attarine Museum, the Tanneries, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. After lunch, visit artisan cooperatives and enjoy a panoramic view over the medina before returning to your riad.
Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane (nicknamed the Switzerland of Morocco) and the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques. Pass through the scenic Ziz Gorge and Midelt before arriving in Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara. At sunset, embark on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes and enjoy an unforgettable night in a desert camp under the stars.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Wake up early for sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and freshening up in Merzouga, we travel to the dramatic Todra Gorges, known for towering canyon walls and lush palm valleys. Continue through the Dades Valley, where you’ll stay overnight in a local hotel with dinner included.
Day 6: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ait Ben Haddou
Drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping in Kalaat M’Gouna, center of the Valley of Roses, and Skoura Oasis. Arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed ksar known for its role in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Explore the village before spending the night in a nearby guesthouse.
Day 7: Ait Ben Haddou – Tizi-n-Tichka Pass – Essaouira
Today we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, descending into the plains of Marrakech before heading west to the coast. Arrive in Essaouira, the “Pearl of the Atlantic,” in the afternoon. Check in to your riad and enjoy the sunset from the city’s fortified walls. Dinner will feature fresh seafood by the ocean.
Day 8: Essaouira – Guided Tour
Explore the historic medina of Essaouira, once known as Mogador. Discover Portuguese ramparts, colorful souks, art galleries, and long Atlantic beaches. Walk along the ancient harbor and enjoy the laid-back coastal ambiance. Spend the night in your charming riad.
Day 9: Essaouira – Marrakech
After lunch at the port or a seaside café, we travel inland to Marrakech, the Red City. Enjoy a relaxed evening exploring the local medina or relaxing at your riad.
Day 10: Marrakech – Full Day Guided Tour
Explore Marrakech with a local guide, visiting highlights such as the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Majorelle Gardens, and Menara Gardens. Wander through the bustling souks and soak in the energy of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, a UNESCO Cultural Heritage site. After lunch, enjoy free time or continue exploring the city.
Day 11: Marrakech – Airport Transfer
After breakfast, we’ll provide a punctual transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport for your flight home. End of the tour with unforgettable memories of Morocco’s diverse beauty and culture.
