Tour itinarary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Draa Valley – Mhamid

Depart early in the morning from Marrakech, heading toward Mhamid—the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Travel through the stunning High Atlas Mountains, passing charming Berber villages and crossing the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass.

Stop to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic ksar famous for its striking architecture and appearances in many international films. After lunch in Ouarzazate—often referred to as the Hollywood of North Africa due to its renowned Atlas Film Studios—continue your journey through the lush Draa Valley.

Take an off-road route toward Zagora, stopping to visit the historic underground kasbah and Koranic library of Tamegroute. Arrive in Mhamid, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional nomad-style camp in the Erg Lihoudi dunes. Enjoy a magical evening under the stars with Berber hospitality and a drum party around the fire.

Day 2: Mhamid – Zagora – Agdz – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Begin your day with a peaceful sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Then, enjoy a camel ride back to Mhamid, where your vehicle awaits.

The return journey takes you through the Draa Valley and its hidden southern treasures. Stop in Agdz, then continue to Ouarzazate, where you’ll visit the Kasbah Taourirt, once the residence of the powerful Glaoui family. Enjoy lunch in town before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again to arrive back in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
