Marrakech Desert trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech -- High Atlas -- Ait Ben Haddou -- Ouarzazate

Arrive in Marrakech and start your journey with a drive over the High Atlas Mountains. Take in wide open views, winding roads, and traditional villages along the way. Stop at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its ancient clay houses and fortress-style design.

After your visit, continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Settle into your hotel, enjoy dinner, and relax for the night. This first day is a great introduction for students joining a Sahara Desert tour as part of a 4 days Morocco students trip.

Day 2: Ouarzazate -- Draa Valley -- Berber Villages -- Erg Chebbi -- Merzouga

Leave Ouarzazate and follow the road through the beautiful Draa Valley, lined with palm groves and old villages. Stop in traditional Berber villages where students can see local life up close, learn about customs, and meet friendly residents.

By late afternoon, reach the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga. Climb onto your camel for a guided ride across the sand as the sun starts to set. Arrive at your Berber desert camp, share dinner under the stars, and enjoy traditional music around the fire.

Sleeping in tents in the Sahara is often the favorite memory of a Sahara Desert tour for students.

Day 3: Sahara Desert -- Rissani -- Todra Gorges -- Dades Valley

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, a calm and unforgettable moment. After breakfast in the camp, travel to Rissani, a historic town known for its old market. Walk through the souk, see local products, and learn about the area’s trading history.

Continue toward the dramatic Todra Gorges, where tall rock walls rise on both sides of the river. Take short walks, enjoy the scenery, and stop for photos. In the afternoon, drive to the Dades Valley, famous for its rock formations and green fields.

Have dinner and spend the night in a local guesthouse. This day blends nature, culture, and light adventure, perfect for a 4 days Morocco students trip.

Day 4: Dades Valley -- Valley of Roses -- High Atlas -- return to Marrakech

After breakfast, start your journey back to Marrakech. Travel through the Valley of Roses, known for its rose fields and small villages, then cross the High Atlas Mountains again, enjoying different views from the first day.

Arrive in Marrakech and end your 4 Day Students Tour in Morocco at the original starting point or airport, depending on your schedule. This final day wraps up a Sahara Desert tour for students filled with shared memories, local culture, and real desert experiences.
